Kwara Gov prays for victims of plane crash, bomb blast

The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has described Sunday’s twin tragedy of a commercial flight crash in Lagos State and the Church bomb blast in Bauchi as unfortunate and  national disaster of monumental proportions.
Governor Ahmed, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, said the plane crash with many passengers on board and the Bauchi Bomb Blast as incidents that call for sober reflection on the state of affairs in the country.
The Bauchi incident , the governor noted,  further underscores the fact that the spate of security challenge calls for collective efforts of all Nigerians to tackle as “all of us must be watchdogs and advocates for peace as security agencies cannot do it alone.”
Alhaji Ahmed  also noted that it was imperative that Nigerians embrace the spirit of brotherliness and avoid tendencies and attitudes that underscore our differences, adding that we have a lot that unites us as a people.
Alhaji Ahmed, who advised aviation authorities to stop at nothing in finding out the caused of the Iju plane crash in order to avert future occurrence, prayed God to grant families of the victims of the two unfortunate incidents the fortitude to bear the loss.
